Intown Wholesale Nursery was founded by Cheryl L Melton. Cheryl began her horticulture career with Pike Nursery when she was a teenager. She moved to different horticulture jobs like Home Depot and the Atlanta Botanical Garden in her 20’s. She landed back at Pike Nursery in her 30’s where after managing many retail stores, she became the first female wholesale manager. Cheryl always dreamed of having a nursery of her own. In 2004 she started brokering and selling ground cover. In 2006 she began gathering plants and stocking for the nursery. With Cheryl’s guidance, Intown Wholesale Nursery has grown throughout the years and is now a very successful full service nursery.

Cheryl’s philosophy was to provide superior customer service and be able to source, stock and sell high quality, sometimes hard to find plant material.

To honor her and her legacy, Virginia, her sister, and Jared her nephew took over ownership. They plan to keep her dream alive by managing and growing the nursery so that it can be passed down to the next generation.
